hi guys ive had braided hoses on my si for 4 years now, and back in summer jam pointed out to me my braided hoses seemed pretty long on the front and have developed a kink in them, there black diamond ones im not sure what to do, would it be because the cars pretty low? and would using the lower spec brake pipe clamps at the back of the suspension strut make it route better?, or could it be the hoses are wrong?

hello phil long time... anyhow from what i remember when i worked on your motor last (was a long time i know) even when it was jacked up and front weels off so the suspenting was 'hanging' the lines still seemed long. i have braded lines and still use the bracket on the strut and a rubber gromit for inside the bracket. are your brake lines ment for a fiesta or are the universal? i'm currently using goodridge brake lines (from rude racing near you in braintree) and i have never had a problem but they do look shorter than yours. also when the person fitted the brake lines to the car have they wound it round and round (not quite a tecnical term!) too much i.e fitted it witha slight twist and under stress or was it put on straight... if you know what i mean. ta btw you sought your sunroof pipes as you never got back to me?!?

its dues to the car being lowered and i would get them changed for shorter ones as having a kink could be quite dangerous
contact merlin motosport at castle combe as they make to order braided lines

Tis why I bought -3 ones for the ZS and was a bit dodgy when I put it back on standard suspension to sell... but I left it anyway as they still fitted just :lol:
