chaps.

few things that have been on my mind that i want to clear up...

first off is the egr... the two prongs on the back of the ho inlet. can they be left open or do i need to connect a tube between the two?

secondly are the hoses in the engine bay. ive ordered 8... how many are there all together?

thirdly is the clutch arm assembly. anybody got a pic of it so i can piece it together?

im sure i will have plenty more, but as i am only able to work in the dark during the week i can only do a bit at a time! thanks, Ben

The egr pipes on the inlet need a pipe between them, or something like that. Might be info about it on the egr removal guide on here, or 1.6 - 2.0 converion guide also on here. Cant remember what I did.

Hoeses - someone else can answer.

Clutch... what do you need pics of exactly? its goes flywheel > clutch plate > pressure plate > release bearing.

My kit was 6 hoses and this included the rocker cover to the air box so that plus the two I got made (stat to matrix and water rail to stat) would make all 8.

The clutch arm can only go on one way. There is a little cut out on the splined pole thingy majig which the bolt goes through, and it will only go through with the arm in 1 position.

With regards to that pipe on the inlet, look up in the conversion guides, because I'm sure something needs doing with it. It is mentioned in one of the guides.

Nah the speedo cable goes into the heater vents, it detects how fast the air is going through the vents and thats how it shows your speed.

Why are you going to replace all the brake unions? As the saying goes, don't fix it if it ain't broke!

all brake unions male and female are M10x1.0 obviously they come in different pipe sizes also, make sure you get the 3/16 fittings, but as said in another thread, 2 fittings are m12x1.0 for the mondeo servo mod

You know the EGR removal thing, i've blanked off the back of my inlet in the same way. However my question is... what do you do with the modules which were connected there, one side goes into a little multi plug thing and then to the EGR (which is removed) and the other side goes into a mini canister which is also multi-plugged, then goes to a black box in the o/s wing (i think it's a pulse air system). There is also a pipe going from the canister to the rear of the car somewhere parallel with the brake pipes.
