just bought my second Si just as the guy gave me the keys he said the barrel is new and thees a nack to start it

10 mins down the road and it wont engauge the starter position (after lots of trying and fidling it will) and have since got the nack how to start it but its not ideal

so was wondering which 2 wires do i need to connect for an Engine start button, the key turns to position 2 fine thus priming the pump etc but is temperamental on th actual start position

found a nice cheap one, the only other option is another barrel but i assume i then need another key kut with a transponder and i know they can cost a few £££

still need the key next to the pats reciever so should be okay

new barrel should run smooth, hope that helps you out for the future running of your car... also, if you want to put a start button in, get wire the same guage as the wires on the ign switch, and tap into the black (switched live) and the black/blue (starter) wires get a button suitable to handle the amps, i used a control gear button used on industry panels, works great
