Were the mk3.5 si or ghia fiesta ever made with ABS? I'm breaking an M reg ghia ATM and while I was dropping the sub frames today noticed a cage around both inner CV joints, then a small toothed belt inside the cage, going around each driveshaft to another gear, then hydralic pipes going from the cage to the brake resevior.
Does anyone else have this or know what it is for sure?

That'll be the shitty ABS system indeed.

Some fiestas came with it as an extra. Its a pile of crap.

Ideal, cheers for the quick reply, as I'm using the entire car loom to transplant into my car, could it cause any problems if I don't have it plugged in?

Nah i ditched my abs ages ago, loom's still there and i had no problem, once the relay and fuses are remove the loom becomes dead

I don't suppose you know off hand which fuse and relay it is? As I'm not sure my haynes manuel covers ABS

Errm, it was like a year ago haha, i know the fuses were on a aux carrier rather than the proper box, and the relay was red i think :S i can't remember lol i'll look in my haynes tomorrow

There miiiiiiiiiiight be a guide on here, or fiestaturbo about disconnecting it all. I've seen one somewhere in the past but not sure where though!

As you look at the fusebox when it's hanging down from it's position under the dashboard, look at the middle row of relays, and it's on the right most side. As far as I can tell though the wiring is simply for the ABS warning display on the dashboard!
