as you sit in your 1600 efi fiesta si and turn the ignition key, in what order do the lights by the spedo dial clocks come on.... i.e abs, parking,battery etc....
anyone shed any light?

They should all come on (except lights and indicators), and then after about 5 seconds you should be left with the ignition light and handbrake light if it's on.

Battle light goes out soon as you start the engine. If it stays on with engine running that shows a fault with the battery circuit (alternator issues, dead battery)

As a standard start, turn the key to position II which should light the battery, oil, handbrake and airbag light. On turning to the start position battery light should go out when the car is started (it's kind of normal for the battery light to hang on half a second for an old fez), followed by the oil light going out either straightaway or after about 3 seconds. After 5 seconds (or it's up to 10) the airbag light should go out too.
