Its been sooo long... Boot Popper..

As I havent had a Fiesta for agesssss (with a boot popper, last mk3 was the pickup...)

Its stopped working... nothing happening..

What shall I check?

connection when boot shuts - check the metal is clean?

Mine used to do this so I just give the connections a good clean. Is all fuses intact?

Gotta get the boot open first.. no boot lock lol

ok, back seats down, phillips screwdriver, take the plastic boot lid card off and pull the lever from the barrel to the lock.

Ground check is the first thing to do, does the rear wiper work? Does the heated rear screen work too? Clean the connections once open, and check the fuse. If it still doesn't work, 'hotwire' the ground from the boot lid directly to a ground on the rear light cluster and check again with the bootlid wide open and it should work if the ground is the issue. You can also hotwire a live feed to the positive on the lock motor to check if the motor is dead.

I never use a rear wiper anyway

Do what he said, get in the boot and open it then you could just connect a cable to it so you can pop it by hand if it doesn't work!

You don't need to take the trim out to get the boot open lol, just use you finger or something pointy to push the catch, i learnt that on a few scrap cars

as stainless says just shove ur finger onto the catch and push it to the right when ur in the boot facing the rear of the car lol easy

hate them contact plates, my wiper is temperamental atm, likes to stop halfway then have a spaz attack all the way back...
