how do i take it out help please cause i bought molemans car and cant get the steering lock off

As in putting the key in and twisting it to igntion and giving the steering wheel a wiggle to get the key into the ignition and then it takes the lock off?

Or did you want the steering lock completley out?

yeh i was gonna just take it out as its really sticking

i think i might have a solution of trying changing the lock barrell or if that doesnt fix it changing the steering wheel to a mk3 but i would like to keep the mk3.5 steering wheel so if anyone has a solution apart from breaking the steering lock as i dont want to damage the steering colum

To get it out you need to turn the key to position 2, if you look ontop of the barrel case you will see a small hole a few mm in diameter, put a small screwdriver in the hole, push the pin in and pull the lock out.

If its stiff to turn the key try moving the steering wheel lef to right whilst turning key backwards and forwards
