hi all it's bin awhile since being on here. I lost a lot interest in the car with the weather being pants and money etc...... now with the good weather on the way and all the shows, i better pull me finger out. lately i have noticed my car running poor it seem to be louder, slugesh and i worked out it doing about 20mpg, is this a common problem???

20mpg is wrong, mine is nocking out around 35mpg, maybe it needs a good service. Check your airfilters because if your cars being choked its gonna take effect on your fuel and power. As for nice when did it last have an oil change?

my 2 litre does 44mpg on motorways!

I used to get bout 60 mile to 20£ on my old 2 ltr si

20mpg isn't normal. The same car as above (32 coupe) after some tweaks now has the same performance in petrol as my old 1.6 which was about £50/£60 a week and considering it does 30 miles a day on my work days I don't think thats to bad. That can go up 80 miles on my day off if I go to see my parents.

As said have it checked out you should definitely be getting more then that.

Poor MPG, poor performance, and louder... have you checked all your exhaust joints, exhaust system, manifold gasket and lambda?

My garage got block an tackle hanging up try tool hire places most do them but not sure on prices thou should only need it 2 days at most or ask any local garage if you can borrow one for weekend for a few quid but gettin one home is big task but Thonk you got works van?

Yeah I gotta work van, wont be for a long time but I want to know whats available so I can plan a head lol.
