Rite, i have a 1.4 zetec in my fiesta and it keeps overheating

Iv changed the temperature sensor and the water levels are rite

Also the pressure cap on the intercooler

The fan is cutting in at the rite point too

It still overheats!

Can anyone help?

Temp gauge dial is going round to red

Some sort of boiling and spitting sound

A lot of steam from header tank

Try taking the cap off the header tank, then run the engine from cold, see any bubbling? If you're brave also squeeze some hoses and see if there's bubbling, could be a sign of an airlock. The radiator could also be blocked.

Get a new cap for the expansion tank too if that doesnt work ^^^

I know that the intercooler pipe is stone cold so maybe there is some sort of blockage

intercooler ? 1.4 zetec turbo ?

if you got cold pipe sounds like a blockage have you checked in you oil filler cap for any gunk could be blown head gasket any steam smoke out of exhaust?

There is no gunk in the oil

Yeah a bit of smoking out of the exhaust but nothing other than normal

Thermostat has been checked too

If you can disconnect the pipe that is cold start the engine give it gentle revs and see if water cones out the pipe but becarefull an only try when engine is cold

Is the water cerculating? If not sounds like a fubar'd water pump,

probably cooked the headgasket now anyway is the water level going down?
