running really bad sounds like a scooby lol. its not smoking i have run engine flush thro and changed oil tonight but no change yet also put some fuel system cleaner. the sp plug has depsit on it black and smells like fuel. power in low revs is pants but 4000 + seems normal???

when you say no compression...is that a tested with a guage?

ignition is fine. compression test was done dry with a gauge m8. im thinkin pitted head on burnt out valve? but want to be sure and any other ideas?

have you got a zetec Si? if so and no compression on just one cylinder sounds like bent valve or simular, was it running fine then one day like it, was it associated with any other mechanical noise? if it was just down a bit on compression could also be piston ring broken, if it was could squirt a little bit of oil through plug hole and retest to see it it made any diferance

was totaly fine i was driving it and when i slowed down 4 a roundabout it was missfiring so pulled over exspecting 2 c a ht lead off.

You say it revs fine 4000+??? if so cant see it being a bent valve/dead ring.

Air flow meter?....injector stuck open?

If theres no compression on cylinder 1 its either valves not seating or cracked, piston ring or gasket, try a couple squirts on engine oil in that cylinder and do another compression test

dont know what it was so fit a 1.8 at weekend lol! still gona strip it down and find out what happend????
