Quick Inlet question

Its not mentioned in the Haynes manual, and i haven't looked yet due to the weather

The inlet manifold is formed of two parts on an Si

The first part is big nd contains the TB opening and the swirls, the second part is like the plenum with the fuel injectors very small in depth im sure most know this part as it mates to the Head

How is this attached to the Head?

Are there bolts holding it on?

theres a couple of small bolts that hold the 2 bits together and the whole lot is then bolted to the head as one. you cant bolt one piece on then the other :) if you have taken all the bolts out and have the other part off. its stuck on by the gasket...and possibly the pipe that goes to the breather

Ah ok i didnt think there were any more bolts, ill try a thin screw driver to lever gently away from the gasket when the weather, possibly lets up :lol: Cheers Ben

i think the 2 parts your on about is the inlet and the sandwich plate? they both then bolt to the head and iirc the injectors sit in the sandwich plate bit
