after having my exhaust fall off the day before, i decided to go get it replaced.

after starting the engine, there's a huge sqweel like the driver belt was slipping, but it wasn't slipping, the whole thing wasn't even spinning!
smoke was coming out of the bottom of it where the main cog spins the belt? *correct if im wrong*

I did leave it for a good day and a bit before starting again, what with the REALLY cold weather and all.


But, i think it's seized?
Cause, it couldn't of frozen stiff, no?

Does your coolant actually have coolant in it? If it's just water it will freeze, expand and possibly crack blocks, heads, pipes, etc

What is it doing exactly when you try and start the car?

The car starts, it runs, but with a huge sqweeling noise coming from the driver belt, cause it's not spinning.

If the coolant froze on a zetec, really strong chance the fanbelt would slip off seeing as the water pump is run by the alternator/fan belt, remove the fan belt and start it again

Okay. All is well

It just froze over for a while.
