I have a strange problem with my lights on my fiesta. i have working sidelights and full beam, just my dipped beam doesnt work and i need them to work to pass the mot i have checked the bulbs and there fine, i checked the fuses and there also fine, someone told me to change the light stalk switch thing so i changed that (twice) and that didnt work, i then cleaned up the earths for the lights and still i have no dipped beams. i dont no if im being stupid and its somthing easy or if its just a general problem with these cars. The only other thing i can think of is the wiring but i have no idea were to start. im sure i cant be the only person with a mk3 fiesta who has had this problem so hopefully someone on here can help

I had a problem with my lights it was the plugs on the th bulbs were F***ED

Will be a relay mate,

Either the yellow one on the second row next to the green one

or the small brown one below the green one

Which one depending on what make model and year

I'm going to play around with the plugs on the lights, this might sound stupid but I don't think my car has any relays lol my car is a H reg 1990 no idea if that helps lol, cheers

i feel like a massive idiot now....i checked my relays and one was lose so i connected it back up and now my dipped beams work FML! why cant everything be that simple?

iv started having a similer problem where my left indicater lights dont work all i can here is just the fast clicking like when you have a bulb blown. i checked the bulbs and theye fine, they do start working about though so cold that be a relay?

yeh i also had that problem lol, its the relay on the light switch stalk, when u take it off there is a relay joint too it and it should be that one......if that makes sense.

lou when mine was doing what yours was it would indicate fine to the left but not the right, yet the hazards worked. i faffed around for ages and then stuck another set of stalks in and it was fine.

To rebuild?

will be the high/low beam relay in yopur fuse box, unscrew the 2 screws holding the fuse box up, check you haynes manuel to tell you which one it is, can one from a scrapped car for a small price compared to a new one

i found out it was just my relay wasnt connected propely its all good now tho
