i've got a mk3 fiesta 1.4 freestyle on the weber carb and it uses the distributorless ignition system, and ive fitted a dash clocks with the rev counter to wire in as the base models never came with them

ive taken my dashboard out to cure an on going water leak, whilst doing so i thought i would tidy up the loom behind then dash.
problem is, all the plugs are connected and there is 3 wires that go into 2 pins on a plug near the steering collomn which doesn't connect to any thing, the wires are

brown - in its own pin in the plug - earth obviously
brown/yellow
brown/green - these both share the second pin

ive followed the cables and the brown/green wire goes to pin 1 on the dash clocks, which looks to be the rev counter

the brown/green wire goes into the engine bay and im assuming it goes to the ignition system somewhere

does anyone know for sure what the cable is?? and what i would need to plug in to it to get the rev counter working?

any help would be very much appreciated

cheers, tony

found out what it does, it plugs into the choke cable and turns the dash light on if my car were to have a choke

If its Esc you need the red and green wire to the rev counter

Edis will be pin 11, there might not be a wire in it though so you need to drill through and use a wire and connector from a scrap loom to push through.

Same with the plug for the clocks, doubt you will have a cable for the rev counter so you will prob need to add one in
