Now this may not seem like a technical problem but its annoying me now. I just got new wheels and now i'm not sure what pressure i should be running. I've looked online but everywhere only gives option to enter registration number the tyres have gone from standards to 195/45 15s. this is really bugging me, it said somewhere it will be the same as standard just add a psi for every inch you increase, is this right?

In many respects wheel/tyre size don't matter as they only volume and not pressure.

In short different tyres can be different pressure as well as weight of the vehicle needs to be considered.

Basically there isn't a set answer, but around 28-32psi is 'normal'

When i got new tyres fitted to my 16" mondeo alloys, the bloke asked me what the tyre pressures are meant to be, i said i don't know because they aren't meant for this car. So he said in that case then 33 all round to be safe.

lol, i've done that ever since because he is a pro so i'm not going to argue
