hi as i want to put a front anti roll bar and lower brace on my white runabout fiesta i needed to change the carriers on the front for the wishbones so the lower brace and anti roll bar could fit

unfortunately one of the bolts which goes into chassis where the bolt attaches to the threaded nut inside the chassis to help hold the carrier up , well the nut inside the chassis broke off with the bolt half done up and moves up and down which i dont think is dangerous as there are plenty of bolts holding the carrier up but to a MOT man it will fail as it a obvious its loose im not sure what to do :( i could cut the bolt off and get it out but have no idea how to get a new bolt in the chassis to attach as the bolt is one of the 2 bolts which also hold 1 side of the lower brace between the carriers up

any ideas

thanks phil

If you are just looking for something to get it through an MOT and are happy that without that bolt it is secure then I would get some of that metal putty stuff (you know the stuff you knead together and then it sets solid?) and put a really small amount around the inside of the head of the bolt and shove it up so its held against the carrier.

At least then it'll look like its solid although you'll know different ;)

Now, to cover my ass, I am not condoning this as Ford have put that many bolts there for a reason, but its the first thing that comes to mind based on what you have said :D
