OKAY, SO THE FRICKEN STUPID PIECE OF AMERICAN CRAP AS YET AGAIN FAILED TO IMPRESS ME!



Right, so its been great all the back from Oxford to FOlkestone (3Hour trip Routhly)
AND..

I park out side my house, turn engine of for like 5minutes. Go to re start it and its dead. I assumed at this point i had ran out of petrol. SO, as you do i went and got some. WHacked it in .. Tried to start it and nothing. It wont even reach a 1000revs! It cuts out with in a blimin second!!

HELP! ..

any odd noises ?

Will it run if you use abit of throttle ?

Ther was an odd noise the other day.. some weird rattly from the suspension.. then it was struggling to get to 30 yesterday and then today was running fantastic and then it cut out... touch the throttle and it cuts out :'(

check the maf maybe?
I've had to clean mine out recently due to a funny idle it sorted that problem. They seem to get gunked up a bit. Just be very gentle with it or you'll ruin it
Check the spark plugs also. One of mine had somehow managed to almost loose its gap and my dad helped me even all of them out again. If not check leads and coilpack.
They seem to be the normal things that go gippy with Fiesta's.

when you were driving did it struggle to pull and rev?

blocakage somewhere maybe? cat?

I have had a few problems with the maf...

I have to put in in reverse and then drive to make it pull away.

But today me and my partner pushed it to out side of my house. Waiting for my dad to come and check it out and it fricken started for my dad lol...

So dunno whats up but it running smooth now :S

sounds like maf or some sorta sensor, when it does it again start unplugging them and do a sort of trial and error check

those fiestas have a problem witht the connecton witht the multi plug on to the fuel pump. dont mean to scare ya but the plug seems to bugger up every now and then.
when you put the ignition on can you ear a slight whine noise or try and lift up your seats were the pup is and give it a slight nock and it should whne back into life. but firstly check all the engine sensors fuses and relays firstly thought. hope this helps.
