Right i know its not si related but....my friend has a 106 1.4 quicksilver on a t reg and he has bought a saxo vts also on a t reg and tomorow we are going to attempt to put the vts engine in the 106 know does any one know exactly what the diffference are such as do the vts drive shafts fit in quicksilver hugs and are the looms different anything that might be different or cause me a problem would be a great help and also any ways around the problems or sites links that might helps ???

The ecu's are locked so need them unlocking. unless you swap the whole loom.

Looms might be different. Makes more sense to buy a vts straight off. I'd just swap everything off the vts. Box loom engine shafts brakes suspension. The lot!

The engine loom is different.

I know this because my mate stuck a vts or r (cant remember which) engine into a 1.4 106 rolland garros

havent quickies got 120 on clocks aswel? my mates has. so clocks/wiring need to be changed.

I may be thinking to logically here...

Sell the 106 and keep the Saxo?

How about swapping all the panels basically turning the Saxo into a 106? it is possible.

almost everything will need to be changed as the vts is 16v and the quicky is only 8v. So gearbox, clutch, engine loom definatly (only way you can use a 8v loom is by splicing it) etc etc says the bf

Pop onto 106owners and im sure there is a thread saying how to do it some where
