bigger brakes.......

ive got mondeo calipers, pads and discs.

ive just read the guide, but i want to make this clear:

to fit the calipers: drill the holes to 12mm (got that bit  )

if i use mondeo discs: i need disc spacers and also grind the hub down???

if i use ST170 discs: they fit straight on???

also is the ST170 the focus?

need to know this asap as i wanna do this tomorrow
cheers Rob

ST170 is indeed the focus :D

what mondeo calipers are you using ?
if they are from a mk2 v6 then you cant use the st170 disks as they are 300mm and the mondeo mk2's are 280mm
you shouldnt have to grind the hubs down just space the disk out 3mm iirc.

personally what i would do is sell the mondeo stup you have and buy one from a fiesta st.
its still 280mm and will bolt straight on without having to drill hubs and shiz

I think they are just off a standard mondeo. The discs that come with them are 260mm

I was hopeing to use these calipers as then I can go and buy some new discs tomorrow.
Do you know what discs will fit straight on with standard mondeo calipers?

Or if I get the fiesta si calipers and discs every thing is a straight forward swap? Just unbolt and bolt on?

Thanks rob

To be honest I never realised they were Only 260mm. The bigger the better really so I'd do 300mm if they fit under 15" wheels.

Can't I use bigger discs with the mondeo calipers I've got?

Or do I need bigger calipers?

If I stick with the calipers I got which discs shall I get? I want ones that don't need spacers.

I don't mind drilling out the holes but I don't wanna start grinding the hub and using spacers.

iirc they were 278mm disc's, will find the guide i used

no dilling neeed, iirc all you have to do is space the carrier out 5mm, i used 5 washers on each bolt to space them out

they were fine for the 2years i had them on the car :D
