i know its not a si but my old mans got a problem with his corsa-d hes a driving instructor and its a 57 done 115,000 miles so things are giving up, lately its picked up a odd issue of hunting on idle and no power, his mechanic took the throttle body off and cleaned it and it ran fine for a few hours little mishap but did run fine so hes been adivsed to buy a new one as there motorised and he thinks the motor has gone so causing the butterfly to flutter and suck in too much air on idle hes bought a new throttle body but he seems to think theres to many pipes coming off but we found out that one is obviously a fuel line and the other 2 are for some sort of water pipes but theres one mysterious one and i think its a vacuum pipe heres a pic anybody clear this up?

ps sorry about the sketchy paint jobbie lol

Surely its the same as the one on the car? to which just swap it and not worry what everything does.

Why do you think fuel goes in?

well the one pipe is skinny and has a tiny hole at the end so i was guessing fuel, i havent had a look at his yet but i pulled up a guide on some guy cleaning a throttle body on the corsa-d and it looks different

those will be vacuum take offs. fuel is fed at far more pressure than a bit of push on hose will take and to injectors, not a straight hole in the manifold. im suprised it has a water feed to be honest...is one water in and the other out?

it wasnt the throttle body, thanks for the help though people, he plugged it into yet another diagnostics and it threw up the lambda so he took it off cleaned it and it was running fine but has starting to come back a minor amount so i think its a new lambda
