my boyfriend was underneath the car today just doing some final checks and having a look at the oil leak i have.

Good news is he thinks the oil leak is the sump gasket. Bad news is, he thinks theres some bolts missing from my sump.

Theres two holes on the front of the sump that look like there are missing bolts. 99.9% sure there is supposed to be bolts there as there is a thread for them. Are we right in thinking that it is missing bolts?

a picture would help, but if there are two holes in the sump flange which show 2 matching threaded holes in block, sounds definatly like two are missing

will get a pick up tomorrow for you

The holes aren't helping so will get some bolts to sort that out. The boyfriend says that oil is leaking from the top of the sump so sump gasket is the first thing that comes to mind

if its at the back of the engine the oil pressure switch is a favourite for going wanky..its just above the sump in the block has a single wire going to it on an angled terminal... just a thought ;)
