Mines going for its MOT in a couple of weeks, need a few questions answering though:
a)will it fail if one of the brake disks as got a groove in it(i assume i got a stone stuck in pad)?
b)how much does it cost nowadays?
c)my exhaust is blowing slightly, will this cause a failure?

the discs ull b alright as long as the breaking efficiency is good and it might just get through the emmissions if the exhaust isnt blowing much in other words block the blowing bit and it ull pass

come MOT time i used half a tube of (works) exhaust paste

did the job- pukka.

note:
MOT at our place is around the ?40 mark.

just need to get the underneath sorted then it's ready for it. gave the car a quick once over today and all looks well, checked most bushes, brakes work, lights work, although i've got to take my air freshener off my interior mirror(thats an MOT fail apparently)
think my dads got some of that exhaust putty, will try(read pinch) that tomorrow when i go up there
