managed to get a delivery job for yellow pages!
i've been given 1200 odd luckily my mate has a land rover and is coming down to help me tomorrow morning! but for delivery through the week i need to do some quick modifications/changes to my car.

it means me removing the rear seats and fixing my boot lock (key wnt turn in it, guessing its the barrel but i need to be able to open it just to load the books)! just attempted to remove the rear seats but im having no luck. read the manual but the dam screws wnt losen (and this is with a grill(with the right fitting of course!)

anybody got any tips? oh and the seat part which your arse sits on, the middle seems to be attached to something, dont want to rip it out though.

thanks in advance and hopefully i get some quick advice as i dont want to be slaving away in the pitch black

as for the rear bench were u park your arse,once the back rests are off the bench shud slide backwards towards the boot,has a clip thing so remove the three screws at the three corners of the bench slide it backwards and it shud come out

so i have to remove the rear rests first? i have the right fitting screw bit, in my drill, but none of them will losen.

The seat bolts are tight as feck! I used the correct sized Torx bit and a makeshift extension bar and eventually got them open and out...

My boot lock seized up also, I have a remote release but that doesn't work either, ended up crawling into the boot, ripping off the plastic cover, and yanked the lever up...opened then! It's now sat with the cover permanently removed until I fix the boot release

To undo the those torx bolts I find using the allen key style L wrenches are good, if you have a socket of correct size even better. I found the L wrenches decent enough, got the seatbelts out with them too which a tourqed up high, the bottom seats iirc you lift em slightly at the front and push them backwards towards the boot.

haa! YES, i put some on the night i tried getting them off, still havnt tried yet though. i had a good go and losened two of them. but i think il use the hammer trick rob if the wd40 dusnt work.

koptor, im doing the same too haha. i had to remove it, thought about dismanteling it but i dnt have replacement barrel so im just burrowing to the back past all the yellow pages to pull the cable. a bitch but we're men.
