I had a plug in superchp in my car and it worked fine for months..... But all of a sudden it started to idle funny bouncing between 500 and 1000 rpm then in started cutting out untill the point were it wouldn't start at all so just to see if it was the chip I unpluged it and hey presto car run perfect is this normal? and do you think it would just reset its self if I plug It back in ?

Agree with the above but 5 mins with the battery disconnected should be enough!

Nah won't alter the chip, might confuse the ECU slightly I suppose, just reset the ECU so it can get its readings again...

Should reset it whenever you change anything to do with the air inlet/fuelling etc
