Right, so I thought i'd finally fixed my coolant leak by replacing the radiator...it certainly doesn't use as much now! But I've got a constant drip from the water pump now aargh! I'm assuming it'll need changing...its sort of running down the sump and dripping off the sump itself so was wondering if it could be a gasket gone faulty? Might as well replace the whole thing though I reckon...

How difficult is it to change one? Never done it before, and have been told its a ball ache, but there's no way I'll pay someone to do it even if it takes me weeks to do it!

could be the waterpump shaft seal, or gasket underneath. The waterpump part isnt to bad but its all the other bits to get at it, mainly being the cam belt needs to come off which then means cams needs timing back in etc. wouldnt think it would be a cheep job at a garage though

it's hard work...you may also need to drop the engine a little to gain access - it's very tight next to the chassis.
check the hose to the waterpump first. it's hard to look at/check but it's cheaper/easier to fix if it is worn.

I've got the same problem mate, quick fix is probably buying something like rad-seal for temporary measure.
But i'm going with the 2.0 as i wanted one anyway and my engine has had a good life - 188,000miles lol
