had this for a while now and thought it was the rubber cover making the clicking. decided to remove it before to see if it would stop but heyho, it didnt. had a close look but couldnt see much so does anybody have any ideas?

iirc its a case of lifting the white pawn and move the rachet round again, but i cant fully remember

cant i move the pedal around by adjusting it with an allen key btw?

asked the mechanics they said you can self adjust it by simply pumping on the pedal with your foot. tried it, and it didnt work. they said it would be a pain to do so im taking it on thursday to see what its all about!

My 1.1 did this just before the accident it was indeed the rachet as pointed out above.
Mine was clicking when I released the clutch peddle. My dad just replaced the rachet for me and problem sorted.

Poor Orange Si is hurt. Started first time after sitting for 3 weeks and with virtually no petrol in it

bloody annoying isnt it! been going for a while so im pretty much used to it but when i borrow my mums car from time to time i miss being able to change gear without the clicking
would you be able to find out how much that costs please?

I wouldn't imagine it being to expensive, the part itself was pretty cheap (this was last June) Just depends on if you do it yourself or not (or get a someone to do it for you ).
Its very annoying to do. My dad swore he wasn't touching another one of my cars after this

haha! yes onslack was saying it was a right bugger to change (spending plenty of back braking time in the footwell i've also heard) so il leave it to my mechanic! thanks for the help tiababy, appreciate it.

went to my mechanic today! he told me it once took him a day to do one, and another time he was lucky to do it fast so he said i should give it a go! so i am even if i cant stand up after it.
