Just how do I get access there to change the bulb? (well the whole foglight bit really)
The 1.6 needs a new one on the left side and looking through the Haynes manual can't actually find it in there.

A quick explanation of the best way to do it as I plan on doing this tomorrow morning

use a screw driver to unscrew the screw underneath it and it should allow you to gain access

well thats easy enough. Ill do that in the morning easily

If you want them out tomorrow i'd advise you to spray some WD40 in the hole tonight as it will most likely be rusted and seized to high heaven,

agreed, mine was a bugger, made it worse as the screws where shagged so i had to prize the surround out slowly, luckily it didnt break lol

Look out for the post tomorrow. Pried foglights out, knocked self unconscious or screw in eye

im intending to put something in the holes to protect the screws like vaseline or copper grease, etc..not sure what yet just something that wont dry or wash away easily!!

I get to do this to not 1 si but 2 tomorrow (borrowing one from the 1.4 to put in 1.6 to see if it is just the bulb)

nope that foglight isn't coming out, think I'll take it to my trusted garage and see how much to get it out for me. Friggin thing, all 3 of us tried and all it did was screw up the screw a bit. grr

they must be savagely crap scews as you will find alot of people have this problem.

I think most screws would be this bad after 16 years of not being loosened and all weathers.
