ok, i have a vibe 12'' sub in the boot, (built in amp), and this morning i was listening to my music, and all of a sudden i had no bass. didnt think anything of it, untill my sub starts doing a little boom every 5-6 seconds, regardless of radio volume, or anything else. on the back the red light has come on, saying 'protection'. any ideas as to what this might be? no loose wires or anything.

check your earth, infact just double/treble check that none of the wires have come loose,

earth might be it, didnt check that

i`d say earth. mates corsa was doin this really bad because he`d just wound the wire round a bolt connected to the chassis. put a connector on it it was fine.

got a multimeter thingie today, and found out its reading 12v at the front of the power cable, 5.9v at the back. split on the power cable
