Ok.. well my battery had been dying because i found out the alternator had been draining the power - disconnected the alternator and the battery was fine.

So today i went and got a new one, left it for 4 and half hours after giving it a quick run, checked it was charging ok and its fudgekin flat!

I dont know what the problem could be now. Ive got one of those plug in type connections on it and all the wires seem fine. The alternator has a couple of bolt on connections that say B and W (i think) and nothing was connected to them before, so does something need to be connected to them?

The battery is pretty new too, so ive cancelled that out.

Im really frustrated now GRR

Question after looking at the wiring diagram.. do the wires from the alternator go to the starter motor than the battery? Or direct to the battery? I cant remember if mine goes direct to the battery or not.

If they was going direct to the battery, it would be taking a live feed from it constantly wouldnt it?

So it they go through the starter then it would only take a feed from it when the ignition is on/engine is running yes?

Heres me meant to be a mechanic but i fucking hate electrics lol.
