When i come to a stop my car seems to stall but my foot is firmly to the floor on the clutch, does any one know what this could mean

it controls the idle speed, its on the inlet manifold just under the efi letters its got one electrical connector with two wires and its held on by i think three 7mm bolts :thumbsup:

while your at it clean the MAF (Mass Air Flow) sensor on the ait inlet pipe from the airbox :)

iirc i used brake cleaner to clean my iscv and for the maf iirc you can use a cotton bud :thumbsup:

actually i think thats what i used for mine, but ran out so used brake cleaner :red: :lol:

both work :thumbsup:

i did mine twice, sprayed it inside the holes left it for 5-10 mins, empited it then did it again :D

My ISCV got soaked in petrol overnight :rolleyes: , took it to bits and cleaned it with a cotton bud also.. was shiney as hell afterwards :thumbsup:

MAF, take the plastic box off, clean the metal prongs with cotton bud, but be careful with them.

i used wd-40 2 clean mine lol worked thou! need to clean my maf aswell sometime wen im bored lol

but wait there guys he/she drives a 1.3 according to the thing on the left! so it wud be different??

I had a similar problem today and took off the idel control vale (that bottom 7mm bolt is bloody ackward to get to and was easier with the throttle body off). Sprayed brake cleaner in the holes and left for about 10 mins, empty it and put it back on, idles much better and it might just be me, but engine seems alot quiter now :)
