My battery has died on my fezzy so hooked it up the Vectra with jump leads,checked the lights on the dash were nice and bright and tried the starter,it turned over very very very slowly. I stopped and the starter was smoking slightly and really hot. Is it new starter time? If so, I have a starter from a 2 litre Mondeo that I popped in my last fezzy,would that go on it or could I at least make one from the two of them. Thanks in advance guys.

i have one with a broken solenoid that's off of my fiesta, it's not very old, could make a good one with that and yours. don't think the mondeo one will fit though. if you want to come and collect it it's yours. see my for sale thread if parts for cars forum.
