when i leave my ca rto idle for a while and then go to rev it it hesitates and missfires

but when i leave it to idle for a second its fine only when u leave it for 20 seconds

and when i leave it to idle the car pops through the exhasut but i thinks thats due to the cams what u guys think any ideas

Be abit hard for most people to help you with the problems as your on a different ecu which has been mapped up, so therefore could be down to that, or many of the mods :)


Maybe the settings for the idle need tweaking?

Does your setup use a idle control valve of any kind?

nope it doesn have a IAT either it ticks over on 1100 revs maybe some more tweeking is required me thinks

That's idling a bit high then, have you checked for any vacuum leaks? Have a look under your coil pack, there's an L shaped hose, only small, which often gets overlooked. I had it on mine where it had a hole in it and was causing idling and misfiring problems. Took me bloody ages to find it :lol:

had a look m8 and that pipe is left open becuase the brake servo pipe has been connected to the sandwich plate now :shock:
