Has the imboliser kicked in, check the red light on the Clock. :)

What ECU you using? :) Would have said swap it for Terrys to check to make sure thats not the problem, but Terrys is in lockdown.

checked the imboliser as i mentioned this to jamie so he made sure it was dis-armed

while making sure it was going to start it had the 1.6 ecu in, but after i left jamie swapped it for a 2.0 DEEP ecu and it made no difference at all

yeah i said to jamie its a shame i didn't have mine  , if it was last weekend we could if raped it for bits to check what was and wasn't working

yeah as terry mentiond we checked the imobiliser and its off and ecu was changed, i have read up on some cars having problems with no spark and its been either the crank position sensor or the cam position sensor...changed the crank one but does the silver top zetec have a cam sensor if so where is it located?

thanks

its working now!!! it was the blooming cps sensor houseing, id left the 2.0 houseing on there so the cps wasnt reading the flywheel, after a long day of takeing the gearbox out clutch and flywheel to changed this houseing that consited of 1 bolt!!! it runs. but its running extreamly lumpy and finding it hard to idal and doesnt have any power if you drive it, also you can hear it breveing loads through the air filter so im guessing the timeing is most likey out?

i'd check your timing jamie, get something strong to lock the cam's if you dont have the tool, or get one tomorrow if you can as its been a long day for you! we(woods, barry, you and i, know first hand what a bitch your gearbox was  )

then follow your haynes manual and use the timing marks on the sump ect.

glad its running now tho! :D , your on the home straight now

yeah i will do ill see how i get along with it tomorrow but one thing is how the hell are you ment to get anything on the crank pully to turn it to tdc lol theres like a 3cm gap! lol

yeah i have no idea why my gearbox was such a pig to fit just that blooming rear engine mount braket gets in the way! got the gearbox on in 20 mins this time using the crain;) so much easyer to get into place!

but yup im releved that its running now, will be on the road soon

i think iirc barry took the cam cover off, used a torx bit and turned the cam's till the mark on the crank pulley lined up with the mark on the sump

or he used a spanner to get on to the end of the crank pulley, i cant remember for certain,

i'll check my hanyes and see what it says

Get an offset ring spanner, should do the trick.

As soon as you said is wasn't sparking i thought about the cps!
