I have a rear beam sat in my garden with the shocks still attached waiting to have a double ARB trick done.

I have tried for hours to take them and have given up. Have tried heat, wd40, smacking them massive breaker bars. Just wont shift.

Good luck, might be worth taking it down to a garage and getting them to put a gun on it.

if your using a proper breaker bar on it and they wont budge an air gun will most likely, either a) not do a thing if its not an ingersoll or good quality name brand or b) will just snap it clean off, best bet is heat it up first so that its really really hot (have oxycetaline on it for at least 10mins) then do up with the air gun just a quick 2sec blast then switch to undo and it should come off. also may be worth trying wurths rost off ice, it literally does what the german name suggests, freezes the metal very quickly and gives that fraction of mm less grip on the thread, has worked wonders for me at work when all else has failed

clearly you have never used oxycetaline lol
it will only cut though metal if using a cutting tip, use a genral heating tip and it will be fine. you shouldnt damage the suspension tho, just only have the heat on the nut itself and the nut should expand at a quicker rate than the top of the shock because the heat will transfer down the shock and spread out so wont get as hot as quickly.
id try get hold of some rost of ice first though if you dont have easy acess to gas equipment, worst case if you still cant do it take it to any backstreet garage and they should be able to heat it up and crack the nuts off for you.
