Ok, so i been trying to undo the torx bolt on my car that hold the ball joint onto the hub kinda thing and its rounded off!! Any ideas of what i can do to get it out? Its the only bolt i need to undo, then my driveshaft will be back in and ill be back on the road lol

Chisel the head off? Or chisel it at an angle so it pushes the head around?

At an angle I'd say.

Had to do the same when my wheel nut broke in half in the wheel. chisel it around until it comes out.

if you have got the nut off the other end then just hammer it out from the other side (you need to replace bolt anyway) if you havent and its spinning then hold it with mole grips undo nut then hammer bolt out oki doki

Ive been hammering the shit out of this bolt today, and the nut is off yes lol. Been at it for about an hour, not coming out!!! Ive used LOADS of WD40 on it, and its sitting there laughing at me while i smack the fuck out of it lol. It really hasnt moved - not even a mm. I got a chisel and started to chisel the at the head to try and make a gap so it would losen it - nothing lol. Just makes marks in the metal lol. I think i will try get an angle grinder

As for the price of the nut and bolt Fizzy T, i went to fords this morning to get the tapered bot, and the nut that goes on the back, the bolt cost 81p and the nut cost 37p then u need to add VAT on that which is only a few pence.

I think im going to to have a rest from hitting this bolt, its about 30 degrees C down south at the moment - too hot to work!

what about heating it up with a blow torch? then knocking the shiz out of it?

i would, but i dont have one lol. wouldn't heating it up just make the bolt expand and get stuck in there even more?
