I have a slight problem with my wires going to/from the alternator...
On my alternator i have a multi-plug (as see in pic below) and there are 3 wires, 2 big red ones, and a thin blue one, basically i need to know where all the wires go as they have broke lol.
If it helps, my engine is a 1.3 HCS single point injection.
Also i have done a quick wiring diagram of how i think its meant to be, i will most probably be wrong, but can someone help me out please!
The reason for the diagram is because i can only see a blue wire dangling from the car and it can only go on the thin blue wire coming out the alternator and the 2 red ones are connected together anyway, but i dont know if the red wires connect to anything else...
Also, it may be to do with the wires, but, before these wires snapped, when the ignition was on, the battery light never came on, and now it does, but it goes off when the car is started. But it might be cos the car has been standing for about a week not doing anything at all so the battery may need a slight charge.
AND!!! yes and lol.. When i do start the car - did today, instead of starting and idling at slightly higher revs, it was at really low revs and it died twice, but when i gave it a bit of a rev, it was ok - dead battery? them wires?
The only thing i have done recently to the car is change the clutch, and ive made sure all the wires are back on the gearbox ect. So im a tiny bit confused lol.
