ive got a problem with the fiesta theres a loud hissing noise coming from the egr solenoid the filteri nside has totaly collapsed the pipes are fine does this mena the sensor is knackered the engien is missing abit i think it could be the solenoid is letting to much vacuum but not sure some help wud be great

I have removed my EGR but my EGR valve or whatever it is on the bulkhead is hissing like f*ck by the sound of it

well i have looked it up to see what it does apparently it sends oxygen in to cool down the combustion chambers or exhasut gasses and controls the amount of nitrous oxide well ive been told now by ford if it is that it will cause a very lean mixture as the vacuum it sends to the inlet manifold will be to low and basically make it ruin like a bag of nails

all the pulse air box has been removed but just remains is the carbon cannnister not sure what that does and the solenoid so woody can i get rid of the carbon cannister aswell

That is up to you.

If someone says something, you do it, and something happens to go wrong they dont want to be responsible!



Ive never had egr on mine, but im happy to take a risk that if any thing happens too, its my own fault for trying it!

I cant see how removing the EGR would damage anything.

As when you go for aftermarket manifold they have no EGR.

that was already taken of the car i was trying to say if the solenoid should be taken off with it and the carbon canister soz for the confusion

I think you should leave it but block that one pipe which came from the EGR bit, as it might confuse the ECU.
