hey guys bin a while since was last here. but since i bin away i have blown my 1.4 si up the cars fine but the engines fubared and i now drive a mini lol but anyway i got a mondeo 2.0l to go in my si these questions are prob asked regular but can i use :

exhaust manifold
inlet manifold
ecu/wiring loom (alothough i have a 1.6 guru one and having trouble gettin one of the magic 3 ecu`s lol)
and maybe anything else ive missed and u lovly people can add these will be off a 1.4 si tho thanks all from ste

you need bits off the 1.6 Si none of your 1.4 bits will work or fit

you practicaly need a 1.6 engine bay

engine mounts and alsorts to change on it... which is why the 2.0 into a 1.6 is so easy.. literaly block/head swap

think about going xr2i 1.6 or somthing else

but as moe said, try go for either a 2i conversion r drop a FRST engine in it

ok thanks how much work would be involved to 2.0l is it possible also what prices would i expect from a scrapers for exhuast and inlet manifold water pump sump loom etc and anything ive missed ?? thanks ste

buy a new 1.6 water pump

the rest is pot luck i think

might know of a loom coming up forsale soon tho and some more of the other bits you want for the coneversion
