The Fiesta in general is known for it's rot. There are a few places they tend to go sooner than the rest, alot of it isn't structural, but alot of it is.
Known rust spots:
Door shuts at the bottom by the corner
Bootlids
The boot shut at the bottom by the bumper
Sills
Arches
Suspension turrets in the boot
Lower slam panels (behind the bumpers)
And in worse cases, the floor pan can become quite bad.
But it's the same with any car - if they've been looked after they won't suffer as bad. If they've been mistreated then you are likely to find a fair amount of rust. Unfortunately, Ford don't have a great record for rust protection, but you can still pick up minters, it's just a case of finding them.
