i have this exact same problem and its driving me nuts, according to brookenstien (i think) he had the same problem and it turned out to be a crack in 1 of the plastic pullys the belt goes round. apperently over time they get hot and crack you can only ge them from ford though, so i'm sure it will be over priced! still its anoying enough to warrent it! |

It is a plastic pulley that cost's about ?20 from Fraud, cured the problem though. |

Sorry, I actually tidied up and threw the box away (Doh!), but it is called " Idler tensioner pulley kit" and it is located just above the alternator, I would also get a new drive belt (pk1275). Hope this helps. |
