I got all excited!! ha ha

Well i got two lumps in mine now, one 2.0 l petrol from the mondeo, was auto on only 69k so should be a good example, Have since loaded 55lbs of woofer and a 60l metal and fibreglass box into the dash area, so its gonna need to be 2l !!

Have got a 2litre conversion already done for us, but have noticed it has a lumpy idle & when its cold it stalls the first few times that we stop, then when it starts to get warm it doesnt stall anymore.

This should hopefully get sorted with a full service, cambelt change, DESK 2.0 ECU & 2.0 MAF

We are thinking of getting a new battery for it as the current one looks very old.

Whats the best battery to get for it? Also, anything else to add to the shopping list?

is this the same principal for a mk4/5 fiesta

At present I currently own a 1997 (mk2) 2.0 16v SilverTop Mondeo.

My neighbour owns a non-running 1999 (mk4 facelift / mk5) 1.25 16v Fiesta (smokes like a bitch under the bonnet).

If I took his car off his hands for minimal money, how much work would it be to drop my 2.0 in to it?
Would I be able to lift the engine and gearbox straight out and drop it straight in or would I have issues with engine mounts etc.?

If it will go straight in then I may empty the bay completely, relocate the battery, and put a side exit manifold (rather than the straight down) on it and fit a turbo over the gearbox area.

Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated and if it is all good then pics will be taken as it progresses of the work.
Cheers
