well yesterday started at 4.30am for me
, i had to go to cardiff with 3 other people in my dad's astra TDi deisel estate
it was agreed that i would drive home, so we left at 2.30pm, now the fun really begins
as we were leaving the oil pressure light came on and stayed on for longer than it usually does, so we stopped at a petrol station and checked the oil, it was full
so i started her up again and it come on and went out as it should so thought nothing of it
we were about 45mins out of cardiff when the car just didn't feel right( dont know i could tell i just could
) then as we passed a slip road for a service station the oil light kept flashing on and off, so i droped my speed and pulled into the slow lane and the light went back out again and all seemed well, until my brother said " well at least we can't hear any knocking noise" he said to me listen out for it, which i was doing anyways
then about 5 miles down the road the knocking started
, so i dropped my speed even more and tried to limp the car to the next services then bang and the revs died 
so i pulled into the hard shoulder and called the AA and they picked us up and hour laster, which is not ammusing when we were stood in the freezing cold with it spitting
we then were towed to the next junction, where the AA guy called the depo in westsussex to sent a low loader to collect us
we were greeted with this lovely site, warm cozy seating until we were due to be picked up, which would have been between 60-90 mins
about an hour later the low loader arrive and we were taken the 90 odd miles home to gatwick
well that was my week end, should find out on monday what is wrong with the car
