Hello I'm David, new member here. Just got a MK4 1.4Si off (you guessed it!) eBay Needs a tidy up Plan is to install a missing rear spoiler then sell the car, but the way it drives I'm already tempted to keep it! Boot lock key won't turn either so I might need a new lock. |

Thanks everyone. Charged the battery today with my nice Lidi trickle charger, changed air filter, oil filter and oil (the air changes it self!) Tidied up brake pipes, checked underneath of car (recent exhaust, bonus!) cleaned some electrical connections under the bonnet. I need to find my old Ford radio code thingy (used it couple of years ago for my Dad's mondy Need to get a new N/S fog light glass, prolly easier to change whole thing. Need a battery holder (tempted to make my own) I'm starting to think the 65K miles is genuine as the underneath of the car is clean and seats/wheel/gear knob still have texture! Almost forgot that the brake light switch needs changing, live near a Ford dealership so fingers crossed not too much moola. |
