Just a little intro! I am Harris, I have a MK3 Mondeo TDCI as my daily driver, a MK2 Escort as my sunny day driver and I have recently added my Fiesta Si back to the list of cars I own! The story goes like this:
I bought the car in 2004 for £1000 and it was in pretty good nick. I drove it to Bournemouth at least every other weekend from Wallington to see my Mrs who was at Uni down there and it was the first car that I have actually really wanted. But, as you do, I got a bit bored of the 1.6. I used to do abit of Formula Ford single seaters and my dad is an engine builder and at the time, F.Ford used the 130ps 1.8 Zetec so we had plenty of bits kicking around, so I put one together and in it went
Boy was it great fun to drive then!!! Not so much when I got caught doing 95 in a 50 on my way back from visiting the Mrs though 
Anway, the ban came and went and I was back on the road, but not for long! One of the heater water pipes split and I cooked the engine on the motorway! Unfortunately there was no hard shoulder when it happened so I had to keep driving until there was somewhere safe to stop!!! This was around 6miles after I had lost all my water 
So that was the 1.8 dead. I set about looking for another 1.8 when I thought, If im going to change the engine again, I may aswell put a 2.0 in!!! So I sourced one from the breakers, gave it some fresh shells and a cam belt and in it went 
That was all good until I ran it low of oil So that was it for the Si as far as I was concerned and I was going to scrap it! That was until my grandad came along and bought it off me for £100, supplied me a 1.6 engine and paid me £100 for fitting it and she was running again! I told him if he was ever going to sell it that I wanted first refusal! A year went by and my Mrs was starting to show interest in driving so we started looking for a run around and she started driving lessons. To cut a long story short (lol) we bought my one back from my grandad 
with another blown up engine So, bought a donor Si, pulled the engine out of that, swapped various other bits off of it that were better and my Si was running again but this time with my Mrs as the driver 
She learnt how to drive in it and passed her test and a year down the line she has upgraded to a 2006 Zetec Fiesta, so the Si is officially mine again!!! 
But she is getting the full race treatment ready for the track as me and a friend of mine from work are going to race it in the CSCC Tintops series. So, I am on the look out for another 2.0 engine and all the associated bits that go with it lolWell, thats the story of my Si, sorry If I bored you!!!
