whats the uk law say about: 1. respraying your car into a different colour ? 1b. how do you declare this legally? 2. what is the measurement between where a suspension mount / seatbelt mount is, and where there is corrosion / damage? (cm/mm?) 3. what does the mot say about faulty ignition barrels - seeing as i will probably drive the car onto the ramp anyway?? 4. what does the mot say about a seatbelt not fully retracting itself? 5. what does the mot say in relation to wheels rubbing arch liners, if there is contact would this be an automatic fail or just an advise? lastly: 6. what does mot say about a case such as: - fitting a huge undertray/belly pan (plastic or otherwise) under the entire vehicle, to hide rust etc. Thankya, be interesting to see. 1. Have to declare it to the DVLA, no cost afaik. 1b. As above. 3. If it starts and drives up the ramp I can't see a problem. 5. If it rubs badly they'll fail you. 6. Why would you want to hide the rust? They'll want to see the underside of the car as its structual.

dont quote me on these coz i dont do m.o.t's but some of them i know 1 when u fill out the the v5 document and send it away it ull b on the new computer systemed m.o.t's 1a tell the dvla by writing it on the v5 documents and send it of 2 dont know 3 as long as its starts then theres no problem 4 failed if the seat belts suppost to retrak 5 failed if exessive rubbing but realy there shouldnt b 6 nothing at all i think coz the m.o.t'ers cant take stuff of the car to check
