Time for a little random rant.

This one goes out to Dettol. Recently they have been advertising their new "no touch hand wash", with the description that our normal soap dispensers build up millions of bacteria on the pump.

Now, I have no doubt that the presser on your normal hand wash pump does indeed contain bacteria. But forgive me if I'm wrong, but what do you do once you've just touched this life threatening, germ laden pump?

Yes, you wash your hands. YOU WASH YOUR HANDS! So what the hell? Why splash out on what is nothing more than a gimmick? I like this thing, it does look kinda handy. But it's nothing more. Don't make out that my current hand pump soap dispenser is going to kill me from bacteria, when as soon as I've touched it I'll be washing them off!

Fi's mum has one. Really annoying and pointless, as I move my hand away before it's finished giving me an over the top amount of handwash.

Really is a stupid, overpriced, wasteful idea.

Ahhh Ry, first hand experience, awesome! So not only do they make out that it will save your life, but they force you to use more than you normally would and therefore have to buy more than you normally would. Cheeky barrrrrstards!! :lol:

Just seen the advert and thought the same thing, but didn't feel the need to rant online.

With that people at work are always cleaning everything and say I am a scruff as I don't clean my desk, so they told me about how there is more bacteria on my desk than a toilet seat etc... my reply, I put my sandwich on my desk left it 5 minutes then ate it... guess what I'm not dead.

I do point out to them when the zombie apocalypse happens I will be the only one who is fine as my immune system has actually been expose to bacteria here and there.
