Hello, im Will, live in east sussex i used to own a black 1.6si as my 1st car about 5yrs ago and added a cossie front lip and rs turbo sideskirts/arches, lowered on mondeo 16"s :chill: but sort of moved on to jap cars :rolleyes: At the moment i own a celica gt4 road legal track car and has been a on going project and also owned a honda civic track car which came to the end of its life last month when i managed to roll it 4 times :doh:

Anyway i remembered what great cars these are and looking to buy another one :D I want another si to use as daily car, i would ideally go for a 1.6si but im really on the look out for the 1.4si as insurance is cheaper as planning to insure my younger brother on the car so i can give him lessons, plus tax is cheap :lol:

is there a huge difference in power between the 1.4 and 1.6 si ?

i didnt plan on modifying it, but my ebay watch list already has parts im looking at buying even before ive got the car :rolleyes:

so if anyone knows of any 3dr 1.4si for sale and preferable in black or dark aubergine please let me know :thumbsup:

Welcome.

1.4 is considerably slower than the 1.6, but both are fine for a car for your younger brother, as the 1.4 fits in the RST engine easily, and the 2.0 zetec fits in the 1.6 engine bay perfectly.

Right managed to find a pic on this pc of my gt4 as still need to try and retrieve all my pic off my dead laptop :(

gt4 looks alot different to this now and has gone on a major diet :D

As said mate, 1.4 is quite abit slower but both the 1.4 and 1.6 are as good as each other in terms of possible engine conversions so it doesn't really matter in that respect.

Good luck finding an si 8-)
