 holy fu*king hell! Thats damn horrible...its horrible to think he died but to have his girlfriend suffer for a week then die...that would destroy me! Jesus christ...imagine hitting a tree 130 it a fiesta mk3 or mk2....youd be pushed through the boot! engine was found 150ft away Cant get over that...ever since my accident im so paranoid on the road every junction i come to pass im staring at it to make sure no one pulls out last minute! seriously cant get over that! i didn't say he deserved it  at least it was a painless way to go..... and i know, but 130+ is pushing the boat a bit completely different to the one with the m5 last year, he was an idiot doing 180mph at 18 in a m5

Speeding isn't what causes crashes. It's people who go past their limits. Speed limits are a massive generalisation that have to cater for everyone on the road. So thats every moron who has a licence, every woman doing her make-up on the motorway etc. (not all women  )Plus all the old silver-tops doing 20mph everywhere. I'm sure if everyone were capable of deciding how fast were safe in a particular place then we wouldnt need speed limits. But the majority of people on the road have no idea where their cars limits are so they NEED to be told how fast to drive. It's not just the "speeder" anyway, it's other drivers not realising how fast others are going or whatever and pulling out in front etc. There are plenty of places where "speeding" is safe. But there are also plenty of people who cant judge when its not safe. I'm sure at one point or another everyone has crept over the limit so you can't really generalise too much. Emlyn |
