Hi all.

i'm new here, my name is eliran, i'm form israel.

owner of fiesta SI(the only one in israel, i think).

Any way, i was trying to get some answers on our forums but got nothing!

so, i would like to know how can i install on car pc, a chip.

which chip are available for me, what it will let me(Power)?

Please let me know, i think this is the only place that i can get some answers and instructions.

It does indeed plug straight into the ECU. There'll more than likely be some protective grease which will need cleaning off first though.

However, as gets said oh so often on here, can you not just put a 2ltr in it? The price you pay for this against modding the 1.6 gives you so much more bang for buck.

First of all, thank you all for your answers!

that all i get? addition of 4 BHP? as i undrstand i should get more then that, no?

according "superchips" store price, i think that its too much expensive don't you guys think?

anyway, for the installtion process i will be need open the ECU?, wich i undestand is the PC.

Is it chip that i can plug without welding?

and about the suggestion that coming up here, to ft zetec 2.0 ltr, its kind diffrent in israel, we cannot change the engine capacity more then its come from manufacturer, our traficc office are not allow to change it and i dont want to get any trouble. so for now we stay with 1.6, 16V.

4-6bhp is all you should really expect from a performance chip on the 1.6.

Unfortunately, the engine is very restrictive, so anything you do doesn't have a hell of a lot of effect.

As for the chip installation, there is no welding needed. You don't even have to remove the ECU (which is the computer's "PC"), there is a cover on the bottom of it which you remove to reveal a plug in port. The chip simply plugs into this, then away you go. It takes 2 minutes to install!

You'll find it smooths out and removes any flat spots, improves throttle response, and uses more fuel! :lol:

Just don't expect miracles from it!

I had a feeling there may be some laws over there which are different to ours stopping you putting a 2ltr in. Shame really. If you have the money, or can save up, take a look at Jonosi's car. He turbo'd the 1.6 and has been running that for years now! Are you allowed to mod the engine you have in any way?

nah in all seriousness,that is a shame, you could try port and polishing the head, cam's or even Throttle bodies or turbo it as des said

If you really want more power from your car, get cams, headwork, different exhaust manifold, maybe supercharger/turbo/throttle bodies, and a mappable ecu.

Therefore its still a 1.6 zetec, just better (hopefully)
