The Si is about 1.4 seconds off an Xr2i 0-60 but in real life i wouldn't say they are massivley different, and as you say insurance is an issue!

Thought I'd say hi. I've been thinking about getting a second car just to have a bit of fun in on the weekends for a while now and I've been looking at various old hottish hatches. Was thinking about a 1.6 XR2I but I like the styling of the SI better, its not that much slower(is it?) and its bit cheaper on the insurance. So I've got my eyes open, although most of the cars on autotrader and ebay are miles away down south. (I live on Tyneside). Complements to everyone on some lush lookin cars, makes me want to buy one and get modding. |

the 16v Si is a lovely car mate, you wont be dissapointed  my mates got a 1.6 XR2i and i can keep with him in my 1600 Si, but they do pick up and get going a bit faster due to being an 8v. welcome to FSI

Hi, I was looking for my Si for ages. Mostly on a famous internet site and everytime I found one it was in really bad condition or it would be sold before I got there. In the end I bought a local "ad mag". I found a choice of three first time! Not saying it would work for everyone but thought it may help. Cheers, Little sisiter |
